Little Friends was honored to be featured on FOX 46 morning news segment this month, we are so thankful for everyone who helped out and donated supplies for the HSC location off Tomey Avenue.
As January’s drive comes to an end, and we are so thankful for each and every one of you that helped donate supplies! The Humane Society of Charlotte will be getting an amazing delivery next week, and we could not have done this month’s drive without everyone of you:)

February is right around the corner and it is the month of love. Little Friends is sponsoring another rescue drive starting February 1-28th, all donations will go to Project HALO (Helping Animals Live On) Animal Rescue Group. Project HALO is a non-profit, NO-KILL animal rescue and sanctuary based in Charlotte, N.C. They are a 100% volunteer organization and are funded privately by generous donors.
We will be accepting any of the following supplies:
Treats– such as, but not limited to: Gluten free treats, rawhide’s, bones, antlers, dental treats, training treats, chewy treats, etc.
Toys– such as, but not limited to: tennis balls, kongs (dispensing), stuffed animals, “chuckit!”, puppy teething toys, squeaker toys, etc.
Please only donate unopened toys and treats and like before, donations will be accepted in the bins on the front porch of our office at 1516 Kenilworth Avenue Charlotte, NC 28203. If you are a client, please give your donations to your sitter. All friends, families, sitters and clients are encouraged to help! Thank you in advance for everyone who plans to help out and donate! For all of you who are jealous of our team getting to bring our pups to work everyday, your chance is coming! What is TYDTWDay? It is a day just to celebrate and honor your dogs! Mark your calendars for the seventh annual National Take Your Dog to Work Day, June 26th! This day is recognized nationally, which means if you want to bring your dog to work with you that day, you most certainly can! Talk to your boss, ask them if they celebrate it or participate. Encourage employees, friends and family to bring their four legged friends to work as well, many are not aware of this day! Pet Sitters International (PSI) even devoted the entire week to bringing pet’s to work, it was started in 1999. Reportedly 300 companies It always falls on the week after Fathers Day. PSI started this day to show everyone what great companions dogs make:) If your boss does not know about this day, please let him/her know and explain to them how partaking & supporting in this day helps animal awareness. Such as it promotes pet adoption at humane societies, animal shelters and breed rescues! Winter if officially here! With temperatures dropping this week, I thought it would be helpful to post some tips for all of you pet lovers out there:) Animal cruelty is not taken lightly in the United States, and leaving a pet out in the cold is considered animal cruelty.
Yesterday we were a part of a segment with Good Day Carolina on Fox 46, talking about tips for keeping pets warm during the cold Winter months. We also were talking about our Winter Woof Drive, which is going on until January 31st! Stay warm everybody.
