Happy Howlidays from LFPS!

Wow, this year has flown by!  It is almost 2017…where has the time gone?  Here at Little Friends we are getting ready for the Howlidays, one walk at a time…Thanksgiving has passed and Christmas/New Years are quickly approaching!  Hope that all of you are enjoying your year so far..and if you are reading this you are most likely a client of ours:)  Please make sure that you have your pet sitter scheduled for your upcoming Holiday needs.  Keep in mind, around these times our sitters do fill up quick!  If you book 4 days or less prior to a Holiday (ie. Starting on 11/21/16 there is a late booking fee added to your appointment of 25 dollars).  We want to make sure everyone gets their fur babies taken care of!

Now for the fun stuff, what are your plans for the Holidays?  We have a lot of fun things going on here at the office…currently we have a Community Holiday Pet Drive benefiting the Humane Society of Charlotte until December 31st!  We are accepting new/unopened toys at our new office location for all of the residents at The Humane Society of Charlotte. Please help us make all of the four legged furry residents Howliday at HSC a memorable one!

This weekend, you may be wondering..whats going on?  Well there are a lot of fun things to do in the Queen City, especially this weekend as we give thanks to all of those who are active duty in the Military or have served in the Military!

-All 138 McDonald’s restaurants in the Charlotte area will honor current and retired service men and women with a free breakfast sandwich from the “All Day Breakfast” menu.

Chick-fil-A restaurants in the Charlotte-area are offering military personnel and veterans a free Chick-fil-A Chicken Biscuit or Chicken Sandwich on Friday.-Hickory Tavern is offering all veterans and active duty military 50% off all food and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as a 20% off coupon to use for their next meal.

IHOP restaurants are serving up patriotic breakfast pancakes to active and retired military, for free! The buttermilk pancakes will be dressed with glazed strawberries, blueberry compote and whipped topping – red, white and blue.

JJ’s Red Hots. JJ’s is serving military members with UNLIMITED food and drinks Friday. The meal includes unlimited hot dogs, sausages, sides and non-alcoholic drinks all day.

Brazwell’s in Ballantyne is offering 50% off to all veterans and emergency service members in and around the Charlotte-Mecklenburg area Friday.

Olive Garden is offering a free entrée from a special menu

Chipotle will provide a buy one get one free discount for a small burrito, bowl, or salad on Veterans Day from 3 p.m. to close. Offer is extended to all veterans, military and military spouses with proof of service.

3. Miscellaneous Local Deals…

-Alfred Angelo – Military brides will be treated to 30% off bridal gowns.

-Army Corps of Engineers – This Veterans Day, veterans, active and reserve component service members, and their families enjoy free admission to USACE-operated recreation areas. This includes access to lakes and river projects, as well as swimming beach and boat launch fees.

-Brides Across America – During the month of November, Brides Across America is partnering with bridal salons across the nation to give away free wedding dresses to qualified military brides. All military brides must pre-register online.

-Home Depot – This year, Home Depot is honoring Veterans Day with two specials:

-Baskin-Robbins – For every ice cream scoop sold on Veterans Day, the brand will make an $.11 donation to the U.S.O..

-Great Clips – Veterans can get a free haircut card. All customers who purchase a salon service may take home a haircut card to give to a veteran.

-Lowe’s – On November 11, all veterans and their family can receive 10% off purchases.

-Rack Room Shoes – In honor of Veterans Day, shoppers with valid military I.D. can take 10% off their purchase.
