Terry Richardson – Owner

Terry is a true animal lover. She and her husband, Jon, are parents to 5 dogs. Throughout their lives they have had many other pets including dogs, cats, birds, and fish.

Terry has been working in the corporate world since 1980.  She has implemented many ‘small business’ type functions and enjoys building businesses from the ground up while implementing best practices to ensure efficient and effective core operating elements. The client is ALWAYS the focus for any business she has implemented.

In 2009, Terry needed to find care for her kitty while she and her husband were out of town. Previously the care they used included either friends, neighbors, or boarding.  They had exhausted the ‘kindness’ of their friends and neighbors and did not want to board their kitty.  They decided to hire a pet sitter.  Wow! What a fantastic experience.  It clicked!  They decided to become pet sitters.  And why not start a full fledged pet sitting and dog walking company?  In 2010 they opened Little Friends Pet Sitting.

Terry has a BS degree in Food and Nutrition from East Carolina University and an AA degree in Computer Programming from Pitt Community College.  She is a member of two professional pet sitting organizations: National Association of Professional Pet Sitters (NAPPS) and Pet Sitters International (PSI). She also has a pet sitter certification from NAPPS and a first aid certification from both Pet Tech and the Red Cross.

She enjoys spending time with her pet family, husband, and human family and friends. She is a voracious reader of both fiction and non-fiction. She enjoys traveling and WORK! Yep, she loves to work and is always thinking of new and innovative aspects to her pet sitting business which will benefit the clients, their pets and the pet sitters who care for them.

Lauren F. – General Manager

Hi, my name is Lauren. I love animals and my job. My goal is to make Little Friends Pet Sitting and Dog Walking THE leader in the pet sitting industry, in and around Charlotte.

I was one of the original pet sitters when the company started.  As the company grew, and my interest in pet sitting expanded, I was offered an Operations Manager position in 2011. I have seen all the hard work pay off. With over 80 sitters, a full 24/7 office staff, a user-friendly online scheduling program and endless opportunities of being involved within the community, I am extremely proud to call this my lifetime career.

I have lived in North Carolina all of my life and Charlotte has been my home for most of it. I graduated from Johnson & Wales in 2007 with a B.A. in Sports, Entertainment, and Event Management.

Of course I have animals! I have two rescue dogs of my own, a Schnauzer (Mollie) and a Yorkie-mix (Scotch). They told me to add in that, “I am the best dog mom ever!”

Beth D. – Office Manager

Hi! My name is Beth. Originally from Albany, NY, I moved to Charlotte in 2000 and have lived here ever since! I have 3 beautiful daughters and 1 four legged fur child, King. My family is my number 1 priority. As an avid animal lover, I have grown up around all different kinds of animals my entire life. I always enjoyed being around animals and interacting with them. Aside from animals, I enjoy interacting with people as well. So, I was happy to find a job where I can do this all day long.

I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. With a house full of girls you can imagine our favorite thing to do is go shopping. We also love taking King around to the park, pet store and wherever else we can get him in.

I have been a part of the Little Friends team since 2012. I get to work closely with our clients and sitters each day, making sure your pet’s care is top dog!  Aside from working in the office, you may also come across me as your pet sitter. I actively take pet sits aside from being in the office. Either way, we will have the pleasure of working together to ensure your pet’s are loved and cared after while you cannot be there! I look forward to having the opportunity to being a part of your Little Friends experience!

Jennifer C. – Marketing & Events Manager

Hi!  My name is Jennifer. I am obsessed with animals and absolutely love working with them.  Growing up, I have always had dogs and cats.  Currently my husband and I have two dogs, a four year-old Vizsla named Cejka and a nine year-old long haired Chihuahua named Charlotte.  I have had kittens, guinea pigs, geckos and doggies growing up and I am obsessed with my fur babies.  They have changed our lives!

My husband and I love being outdoors. In my free time I enjoy doing yoga, being with our friends and families and playing soccer.  Our dogs keep us active and very busy!

I am honored to be a part of Little Friends and started out pet sitting before I started working in the office.  I am very passionate about animals and people, which shows in my job here at Little Friends Pet Sitting & Dog Walking.  I am Pet CPR certified by the American Red Cross, as well.  I am happy if you and your fur babies are.
