At Little Friends, we pride ourselves on providing the highest level of service to our clients and their precious pets. We’ve developed a model that allows Little Friends Pet Sitting & Dog Walking to deliver top-notch service using a top of line online scheduling application, experienced Client Service Representatives and trained awesome pet sitters and dog walkers. We work hard to ensure that all of our team members are not only animal lovers, but service-oriented, trustworthy, reliable, and hardworking as well.

CEO/Owner

Terry Richardson and Jon Noyes - Owners

Terry and Jon are true animal lovers. They are parents of 3 dogs and throughout their lives, they have had many other pets including dogs, cats, birds, and fish.

Terry worked in the corporate world for 30+ years. She has implemented many ‘small business’ type functions and enjoys building businesses from the ground up while implementing best practices to ensure efficient and effective core operating elements. The client is ALWAYS the focus of any business she has implemented.

Jon worked in the service industry with major hotels and vacation resorts for 30+ years. He has the ability to put himself in the ‘shoes’ of the client and ensures all of the processes, policies and practices we use at Little Friends has the client as the center of the focus.

In 2009, Terry and Jon needed to find care for her kitty while she and her husband were out of town. Previously the care they used included either friends, neighbors, or boarding. They had exhausted the ‘kindness’ of their friends and neighbors and did not want to board their kitty. They decided to hire a pet sitter. Wow! What a fantastic experience. It clicked! They decided to become pet sitters. And why not start a full-fledged pet sitting and dog walking company? In 2010 they opened Little Friends Pet Sitting.

Terry has a BS degree in Food and Nutrition from East Carolina University and an AA degree in Computer Programming from Pitt Community College. She is a member of Pet Sitters International (PSI). She also has a pet sitter certification from PSIT and the National Associate of Professional Pet Sitters (NAPPS) and a pet first aid certification from both Pet Tech and the Red Cross.

Jon has a BS degree in finance and a Pet Grooming certification from the Animal Behavior College (ABC). He also has a pet first aid certification from the Red Cross.

They enjoy spending time with their pet family, human family and friends.

Terry is a voracious reader of both fiction and non-fiction. She enjoys traveling and WORK! Yep, she loves to work and is always thinking of new and innovative aspects to her pet sitting and dog walking business which will benefit the clients, their pets and the pet sitters and dog walkers who care for them.

Jon loves all things ‘water’. He does a lot of the dog walking for Little Friends and his own three dogs. He is an avid sailor and boater. He also loves spending time working in the yard making things ‘beautiful’ with flowers, trees and plants.

Management Team

Lexxi York, Client Service Representative

Hey there! I have lived in Charlotte for 6 years now; which is the longest I have lived anywhere in my life. My biggest passion in life has always been animals. I was a veterinary assistant for a small & large animal hospital and was fully trained as a receptionist and assistant for both the small & large hospitals. Ended up stepping back from it as I could not handle the sad parts that come with the job. This job has been an excellent happy medium for me as I enjoy administrative work and still getting to work with animals.

I have three cats that I adopted: Oscar (12 y/o), Oly (3 y/o), and Ohana (1 y/o).

  • I started riding horses when I was 8 and still have my horse, Sundance, that I have had since I was 9.
  • I have moved more than 20 times and have lived in 5 states: California, Texas, Nevada, North Carolina, and Indiana.
  • I had surgery on my left wrist twice and right wrist once in high school.
  • Went to school for Dental Assisting and am certified, but never pursued it as a career.

I look forward to helping you and your fur family out!

Monique, Client Service Representative

Growing up I spent every summer camping with my family all over the Midwest, I love making homemade treats for my furbabies, I share my birthday with Michelangelo, and I’ve lived in California, Texas, Georgia, Ohio, and now North Carolina!

I currently live in Concord and I was born in Los Angeles CA, but I’ve spent most of my life in Columbus OH. Go, Bucks! I’m studying for a degree in Psychology, I am a certified dog groomer, and I enjoy volunteering with animal shelters in my free time.

Tymisha, Client Service Representative

I graduated a year early from high school, used to be in a bowling league, and went to school to be a veterinary assistant.  I live in Charlotte with my roomie and her two Lab mix dogs, Rugger & Gilbert. In my spare time I like to explore new areas of Charlotte, go to concerts, bowling, hiking and sing karaoke in my room. I dream of one day having a furry friend companion of my own and a nice big yard for them to play in!

Bio:
I grew up in Charlotte and have always loved and needed animals in my life. My mom had a soft spot and always let us help or adopt strays/injured furry friends. I understand the importance of pets in ones life and know how hard it can be to leave them behind for work or travel. That is why I have a passion for pet care. I want to give pet owners a peace of mind while they are gone, and know their animals will be much loved and cared for. In my free time I enjoy getting outside whether it’s swimming, hiking, going to the park, or lounging by the pool. I also love being at home with a good book, tv series, movie, or cooking up a storm! I love to travel and see the world. It has always been a dream of mine to cover the globe. I work full time for a family of five here in Charlotte. I’ve been with them for eight years and have had the pleasure of helping them raise their wonderful daughters, and now almost two year old golden retriever. I do not currently own a dog or cat but we are looking to add them back to our family soon.  But we do own a turtle named Terry.  And she is amazing.

Fun Facts:
Some things that make me happy:  I love to cook and bake, I collect maps, I love to go on hikes and I am a big fan of the Rolling Stones. Not necessarily in that order.  Also, I lived in beautiful England for a few years and was amazed at how the Brits just LOVE their animals.  One of my dreams is to own a Pub/Restaurant with a playground and dog park.  That way, grownups can have a drink while watching their children and animals play.  Win – win if you ask me.

Bio:
Growing up, my family bred Airdale Terriers.  We had so much fun with our puppies who each had a name and special personality and we were heartbroken when another one was sold to new owners.   Also on my love list are Dachshunds, Australian Shepherds and most recently, Pugs.  Just to name a few.  But my love is not just limited to doggies.  You can include cats on the list as well.  Especially black ones who I am convinced have their own language and personalities. During the day, I work in Accounting and HR. Sometimes at home and sometimes in Pineville.  I currently reside in the Quail Hollow area. But numbers don’t have a personality like 4 legged wonders and sitting at a desk all day is a bit monotonous.

I grew up all over the east coast, starting in Morgantown, West Virginia, then approximately ten moves later (FL-GA-MD), I landed myself in North Carolina, where I feel more “at home” than I have anywhere else. I’ve always been a huge supporter of the armed forces and after four years of Marine Corps JROTC, I wanted to join myself; however due to unfortunate circumstances, I’m medically disqualified. This forced me to give up the dream of mine to become a USMC Drill Instructor, and allowed me to go down a different path towards a mathematics degree. I’m currently working towards earning a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and hopefully being able to work my way back into the military field through a civilian position. In the meantime, I’m able to continue doing what I love by working with children as a gymnastics coach, and of course, working with animals as a pet sitter!

Bio:
Hi! I was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. I went to Fordham University, and lived in Manhattan right after college. I worked at a bunch of different ad agencies and then I got a job offer to move to L.A. to work in marketing at 20th Century FOX. I loved L.A.!! Met my husband there, got married and had twins. We moved to Charlotte so I could be a stay at home mom with the twins (LA was way too expensive for that lol) and my husband is originally from Lenoir N.C. The twins are 14 now, and I wanted to start working again. I love animals so much, and wanted to find a way to get a job working with them so I joined Little Friends! Perfect job for me!

Bio:
Hey! My name is Nichole. I’m originally from Colorado, but I moved here to Charlotte a few months ago. When I’m not cuddling with my cat Leo, I can be found baking all kinds of baked goods or rereading one of my favorite books and drinking a nice strong cup of coffee. I’ve really always loved animals and can even remember from a very young age wanting rescuing kittens and dogs alike whenever I could. I truly believe that every animal, regardless of size, has its own unique personality and should be taken care of in the same way as you would a child. My favorite part of providing pet care is working with the animals and getting to know each one individually.

Bio:
Over the last 5 years, I have pet sat for immediate family and friends– taking care mostly of dogs and cats. While helping out friends and family, I noticed I had a knack for bonding with animals and experienced great joy in bringing a little pick-me-up to pets while their owners are away. As an owner of two cats, I understand the worry pet owners go through when they are away from their loved ones. Even if for a short amount of time, l hope that I can bring a little peace of mind to these owners while they’re away from home!

My wife and I are the proud owners of a Pit-mix & a Dane-Boxer Puppy and we will be happy to extend that same tender care to your furriest friends. We did not have any pets growing up so when I got my first apartment I rescued my first dog and have had an affinity for rescues ever since. My specialty is large breed dogs who need to burn a little energy or cats that love to play. I’m an Atlanta native but Charlotte gave me my loving wife so I’m proud to call it home.

Bio:
Hi! My name is Suzanne O and I am from Gastonia. In my free time, I love gardening and horseback riding! There are very few places in life that I find pure love. Some of those places are with the elderly, special needs children and animals. Their expectations from you are quite simple. Feed me, keep me safe and love me unconditionally. I didn’t chose this vocation, but rather it chose me. Everything about animals lifts me up and inspires me. Watch the love of animals for each other, that is the purest of all loves.
