Terry and Jon are true animal lovers. They are parents of 3 dogs and throughout their lives, they have had many other pets including dogs, cats, birds, and fish.

Terry worked in the corporate world for 30+ years. She has implemented many ‘small business’ type functions and enjoys building businesses from the ground up while implementing best practices to ensure efficient and effective core operating elements. The client is ALWAYS the focus of any business she has implemented.

Jon worked in the service industry with major hotels and vacation resorts for 30+ years. He has the ability to put himself in the ‘shoes’ of the client and ensures all of the processes, policies and practices we use at Little Friends has the client as the center of the focus.

In 2009, Terry and Jon needed to find care for her kitty while she and her husband were out of town. Previously the care they used included either friends, neighbors, or boarding. They had exhausted the ‘kindness’ of their friends and neighbors and did not want to board their kitty. They decided to hire a pet sitter. Wow! What a fantastic experience. It clicked! They decided to become pet sitters. And why not start a full-fledged pet sitting and dog walking company? In 2010 they opened Little Friends Pet Sitting.

Terry has a BS degree in Food and Nutrition from East Carolina University and an AA degree in Computer Programming from Pitt Community College. She is a member of Pet Sitters International (PSI). She also has a pet sitter certification from PSIT and the National Associate of Professional Pet Sitters (NAPPS) and a pet first aid certification from both Pet Tech and the Red Cross.

Jon has a BS degree in finance and a Pet Grooming certification from the Animal Behavior College (ABC). He also has a pet first aid certification from the Red Cross.

They enjoy spending time with their pet family, human family and friends.

Terry is a voracious reader of both fiction and non-fiction. She enjoys traveling and WORK! Yep, she loves to work and is always thinking of new and innovative aspects to her pet sitting and dog walking business which will benefit the clients, their pets and the pet sitters and dog walkers who care for them.

Jon loves all things ‘water’. He does a lot of the dog walking for Little Friends and his own three dogs. He is an avid sailor and boater. He also loves spending time working in the yard making things ‘beautiful’ with flowers, trees and plants.

MoniqueOperations and Marketing Manager
Hello! My name is Monique and I’ve been with Little Friends since January 2019. I have two adorable Chihuahua mixes (Beans & Blu) and a Persian kitty (Sterling). My family is originally from Los Angeles, California but I’ve spent most of my life in Columbus, Ohio (Go Bucks!).I have experience caring for animals of all kinds including dogs, cats, horses, goats, exotic birds, pigs, chickens, and snakes. Growing up, I would spend every summer camping with my family all over the Midwest. I am a certified dog groomer, I enjoy volunteering with animal shelters in my free time, and I love making homemade treats for my fur babies!

Hi, my name is Racheal! I moved to Charlotte in 2019 with my husband, Will. I am originally from the Asheville area and am a graduate of Appalachian State University. When I’m not taking care of my three cuddly kitties, (Rosie, Riley, and Scoop) I enjoy exploring Charlotte’s restaurants and breweries, going to the movies, and camping in Pisgah National Forest. I am also an avid baker and occasional painter. While I have been a shelter volunteer in the past, this is my first professional position in the pet care industry and I am super excited!

I was a military brat and lived many places growing up, including CA, MD, TX, NC, and the UK. My favorite part of being a pet sitter is spending time with the furry, shelled, scaled, and feathered (thus far) family members! It's a good feeling to bring joy to pets and comfort to their humans, all while having a blast doing so.

I'm from Pennsylvania. I love meeting all the different kinds of pets and getting to know their personalities! I have always had a house full of animals usually at least 1 cat and 2 dogs. I have had reptiles, ferrets, birds, cats, dogs, and fish as pets throughout my life.

I was born in Washington, NC but grew up in Central Florida. My little furry baby's name is Odie Houdini! He is four years old and a Jack Russell/Dachshund mix. Not to exaggerate, but he's literally the coolest dog on the planet. I have taken care of pets all of my life and have always felt a connection to nature and animals. It's my promise to you that I will treat your pet as my own!

I'm originally from Myrtle Beach, SC. What I love most about being a pet sitter is getting to know each of the pet's personalities and how much they make me laugh during our visits together. I also love how much they light up when they see me coming over. You can really feel like you've added happiness to their daily lives and in return they make my day so much better.

I'm originally from Binghampton, NY. I love getting to know pets and having the opportunity to love on them while their parents are away! It’s basically like free therapy to care for and snuggle with sweet animals. My cat Toast is my best friend.

I'm originally from North Carolina and have lived in several places in the state. What I love about being a pet sitter is the ability to provide peace of mind for paw-rents while they're away. I know how much my own fur babies mean to me and how stress-relieving it is to know I've got someone I can trust taking care of them when I can't be there. I also love being able to visit with so many different pets since there's a limit to how many I can have myself.

I'm originally from Elmira, NY. I live in the Matthews area with four rescue pets. I volunteer with Greater Charlotte SPCA where I usually have a foster dog or two at a time. My goal is to have a big farm where I can take in lots of rescue animals and give them their best life.

I'm from originally Colorado Springs, CO. I’ve always loved animals. When I was younger, I was known to come home with kittens, dogs, lizards, birds, rabbits and anything else I could find. I’m currently the proud momma of a kitty named Leo, a snake named Samantha, and a chinchilla named Pascal. I truly love getting to visit with other fur babies and pride myself in providing the best care possible.
